Taylor Matsumoto

Associate

Taylor Matsumoto is an associate with Berkes Crane Santana & Spangler LLP. Mr. Matsumoto received his J.D. from the Michigan State University College of Law. His current practice is focused on personal injury, products liability, complex toxic tort litigation, and general civil litigation.

Prior to joining Berkes Crane Santana & Spangler LLP, Mr. Matsumoto enjoyed serving the community and helping victims of violent crimes as a line prosecutor for the Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office and the Cities of Long Beach and Los Angeles. Mr. Matsumoto tried seven misdemeanor cases to verdict, and obtained convictions in cases involving domestic violence, drunk driving, sex offenders, and assault against peace officers. Mr. Matsumoto has also prosecuted over 200 preliminary hearings for serious and violent felony offenses including gang violence, domestic abuse, and property crimes.

Mr. Matsumoto graduated from the University of Southern California, majoring in Economics with a minor in Business Administration. Prior to attending college, Mr. Matsumoto competed on the Men’s Varsity Tennis Team at the University of California, Davis, and has also received the United States Tennis Association’s National Sportsmanship Award.
