Berkes Crane Santana & Spangler’s Los Angeles office is currently seeking associates for its product liability, toxic tort, and personal injury practice areas. This is a tremendous opportunity for lawyers earlier in their career seeking a firm that can offer mentoring, substantive case responsibilities, trial experience and excellent opportunities for client development and professional advancement.

Qualifications
  • JD from an accredited law school
  • Admitted to practice in the State of California
  • 1 to 5 years of litigation experience
  • Exceptional analytical skills
  • Strong writing and oral advocacy skills
  • Ability and willingness to collaborate with staff and colleagues at all levels
  • A keen interest in professional development and growth
  • A willingness to travel as necessary (within COVID guidelines)
Responsibilities
  • Caseload management from file intake through trial in collaboration with supervising partners
  • Legal research and writing
  • Preparing and arguing motions
  • Regularly handle court appearances
  • Preparing for and conducting depositions
  • Drafting and propounding discovery
  • Time tracking and management
  • Trial preparation
